Around 2.2 million very lucky people are able to call Canary Islands "home". On top of that, the islands welcome over 14 million tourists each year, who also appreciate the magic of our unique paradise. But, when combined, the number of people together with the unprecedented levels of consumption means that we generate an awful lot of (mostly plastic) waste… The obvious choice?
Stop buying single use plastic.

After working in the tourism industry for over 14 years (and maybe a small midlife crisis), I decided it was time to give back to the islands that I had been calling "home" since 2003. In September 2018 I launched AGÜITA to reduce the levels of single use plastic generated on our beautiful paradise. Boy, what an adventure it has been sofar! Thank you for joining me on the ride.
